CISA, CISM, CGEIT and CRISC Approved

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has accredited the CISA certification program under ISO/IEC 17024:2012, General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification Systems of Persons. ANSI, a private, nonprofit organization, accredits other organizations to serve as third-party product, system and personnel certifiers. ISACA is proud to be recognized with this international standard of performance.

In accordance with the ISO standard, ISACA understands the importance of impartiality and commits to act impartially in carrying out its certification activities, managing conflicts of interest and ensuring the objectivity of its certification activities.

Since 1978, the CISA certification has been a globally accepted standard of achievement
among information systems (IS) audit, control and security professionals. More than
130,000 professionals have earned the CISA designation since inception.
The CISA certification is sought by those who audit, control, monitor and assess an
enterprise’s information technology and business systems. CISAs are recognized
internationally as professionals with the assurance knowledge, skills, experience and
credibility to leverage standards, manage vulnerabilities, ensure compliance, offer
solutions, institute controls and deliver value to the enterprise. The CISA often is a
mandatory qualification for employment as an information systems auditor.
CISA was named Best Professional Certification Program in the SC Awards 2017; it was
the seventh straight year that CISA was a finalist in the category.
